What does ClearClaim do?

ClearClaim is remote hospital bill defense. You upload your itemized bill and EOB. We deliver a plain-English Claim Map in about 24 hours (owe / dispute / charity-care screen), then prepare dispute materials and negotiate with hospital billing when it makes sense. We are not a law firm.

How much does ClearClaim cost?

A $199 refundable case deposit starts your file. On typical cases we charge 25% of verified savings. The deposit is credited toward that fee. If verified savings are $0, the deposit is refunded in full. We never charge more than you save.

What is a Claim Map?

A Claim Map is our plain-English breakdown of your hospital bill: what you likely owe, what is worth disputing or negotiating, and whether charity care (financial assistance / FAP) screening looks promising. It is written for patients and families — not for billing departments.

How fast do I get results?

Paid cases receive a Claim Map in about 24 hours. Negotiation timelines depend on the hospital billing office; some resolutions take days, others weeks. We keep you updated on status.

Do you handle surprise medical bills?

Yes. Surprise billing and balance-bill situations after ER or facility care are a core use case. We review the bill and EOB for coding, duplicate charges, out-of-network balance issues, and financial-assistance pathways — then negotiate remotely when there is leverage.

What bills are a good fit?

We focus on hospital facility balances roughly $3,000–$50,000 after ER visits or surgery — insured or self-pay. Very small balances or pure physician-only professional fees may not be a fit.

Is ClearClaim a law firm or medical provider?

No. ClearClaim provides bill advocacy, claim mapping, letter drafting, and remote negotiation with billing offices. We do not provide legal advice, file lawsuits, or deliver medical care. If you need an attorney, we will say so.

Is my bill data secure?

Uploads are encrypted at rest when FILE_ENCRYPTION_KEY is configured. Transmission uses HTTPS in production. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Notice for details. We do not claim to be “HIPAA certified.”

What if you cannot save me money?

If verified savings are $0, your $199 deposit is refunded in full. You keep the Claim Map analysis either way.

Can employers or brokers use ClearClaim?
